The following table explains the number of standard drinks one can have in a day and in a week for men and women, to remain in the low-risk guidelines for alcohol related problems.
| 0 | All: zero drinks = lowest risk of an alcohol related problem |
| 2 | Healthy adult drinkers: No more than 2 standard drinks on any one day |
| 9 | Women: up to 9 standard drinks a week |
| 14 | Men: up to 14 standard drinks a week |
