Flexibility activities involve gentle reaching, bending and stretching activities to keep your muscles relaxed and joints mobile.

Flexibility refers to the range of motion at a joint or series of joints. Flexibility is influenced by age, gender and physical activity. The maintenance of flexibility of the hamstrings and low back muscles is important in the prevention of low back pain. Holding a static stretch is the recommended type of exercise. Stretches should be held for 15 to 30 seconds and repeated at least twice.
